Our Company
Our Company Peruvian Amazon Rainforest Expeditions was born in 1994 when Orlando's first boat, the Nancita, was built. Many expeditions later, we are now traveling in our third boat, the Jacamar and staying in our own base camp on our own protected land. We sleep in screened-in bungalows and serve delicious meals to our passengers. On the many excursions we will show you the magic and mystery of both the Amazon River and the Amazon rainforest.

The expeditions which we offer are for those who are adventurers who can do without certain creature comforts and who wish to experience the Amazon rainforest and the people who live there close-up. We travel to remote locations where the primary rainforest is still intact and unspoiled as are the villagers you will meet.

Our Mission
The goal, the mission if you will, of Peruvian Amazon Rainforest Expeditions is simply to share the wonders and beauty of the Amazon rainforest. We provide a vast array of knowledge about the plants and animals of the jungle, as well as the folklore, from the viewpoint of a native of the Peruvian Amazon. Since we visit and stay with a local family in a small village on our expeditions, we offer the almost unique opportunity to actually experience what life is like for the "ribereno" or river people. Our guests become part of an extended family while they visit. We make small footprints in the jungle, but we feel that the path our guests walk may be changed forever.
